To be brutally honest, I wasn’t expecting much out of the UK leg of my trip. I figured it would be terrible weather, and frankly, rather boring.
Well, if you are lucky enough to get good weather, England is brilliant. I did London on a bright 30 degree day. The whole city was crowded with people enjoying the a London summer weekend. Hyde Park was gorgeous and filled with people picnicking in the sun. The whole city was buzzing with a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
This morning was rather gloomy, but luck stayed with me and the afternoon has been glorious.
This morning we visited Stonehenge, just as the weather began to clear. Amazing feat that those huge stones were transported 300 miles 3000 years ago.
I’m feeling really blessed that the “boring” part of my trip has turned out so much fun. My brother-in-law ‘s family has been so hospitable and I’ve loved spending time with them. I feel like I have a UK family myself.
